Very small. Works great.
After an initial problem, the seller stepped up and replaced the camera.
I couldn't be happier with their service and the new camera works perfectly.
I like this camera picture quality for the money. I like the fact that I don't have the guidelines, for some people its helpful
but for me it's distracting.
Works GREAT! Clear video!
Pro: A very nice little camera. It is surprising how well it works in the dark. Con: The connecting wires are very small and you will need to solder them to heavier wire just to work with them and the instructions were a bit skimpy. I bought 2 of these cameras one for rear view and one for watching the hitch when hooking up the trailer.
Camera works great. I installed it on my e46 BMW to an Alpine ILX-007 head unit. I bought the camera without guidelines since the head unit can display them. No problems with visibility in sunlight, a parking garage, or at night. I had to slightly bend and modify the metal bracket in order to make it sit flush in a screw hole, but that was for aesthetics so it is more concealed.
I'd give this 4 1/2 stars if I could. The only thing that would make this better was if the RCA cable, which runs from the camera to the head unit, also included a power wire to tell the head unit that the camera was on. This would make it easier, during installation, to notify the head unit to automatically switch the display to the camera when the car is placed in reverse. Not that big of a deal; I just ran my own wire with the RCA cable from the trunk to the head unit. This wire is connected from the power wire on the camera to the camera sensor wire on the head unit.
Now that I'm familiar with connecting the camera I'll likely buy another one to install on my other car.
Great I guess haven't used them
Excellent viewing angle & clear day/night video
great price ....camera is tiny and comes with a cable long enough for just about any length car or truck .
camera itself has nice clear colorful picture , gets a little grainy at night but still delivers an acceptable image .
Way more than you pay for. The image quality wont blow you mind but neither will the quality on the display of my headunit. Installation takes about an hour or two depending on how much time you spend hiding cables. If you have an aftermarket headunit with a video in RCA connection this will make you very happy.
Attach to vehicle. Run wires to one of your reverse tail light assemblies. Splice in the wires to the reverse light bulb power source. Run a wire (not supplied) from that same source to the headunit along with the video cable (supplied) on the camera. Attach the video cable to the reverse video in and the wire you ran to the reverse wire labeled on the headunit. Now when you place the vehicle in reverse the headunit will automatically change its display to the camera and the camera will turn on. When you take it out of reverse it turns off.
If you desire the ability to always see the camera view then you will need to find another power source to power the camera that turns on with the car. I couldn't think of a time I would ever want to look out the back as im driving forward so I didn't bother.
