camera arrived quickly and in a small box with everything needed to install. instructions were ok, not too great, but I didn't need them. The AV cable is extremely long, enough to run from the back of my SUV all the way up front behind the dash with plenty to spare. The power cable is much shorter, because it's meant to only run to the reverse lights and tap into the power there. I had to buy an extension because I run the power all the way up to the front of my Jeep so I can turn the camera on and off whenever I want while driving. Picture is extremely clear during the day, at night it's pretty grainy and fuzzy but it gets the job done and for the price is a great value. I would buy this again.
Works like a charm.
Image quality is excellent and is true 170 field of view. Also, it is so small, very easy to place it discreetly.
The best camera for my application ! NO GUIDELINES, excellent picture, easy connections. Thinking of more apps !
The image from the camera is really nice for such a small unit and it is hardly noticeable at first glance when installed. The camera's night vision feature is pretty OK too, I washed my car a couple times since I installed the camera and its water proof as mentioned, it worked well every time, I suggest you don't use any abrasive material to wipe the camera as this may scatch the lens of the camera. The connections for the camera and monitor is very user friendly as I did my own installation, it just took a little time and patience, I used the Afunta 7 inch TFT color monitor which worked very well with the camera.
Nice little camera, image quality was decent. Tested backing up in complete darkness, with the reverse lights and tail lights, the camera was able to show the driveway enough to see if anything was in the way. My only complaint is the wire gauge. It seemed smaller than 22 gauge, so I wasn't confident my wire t-taps would work, so i opted to solder a connection in the reverse light wires. I also took a quicker approach to running the video wire to the front by going under the body, zip tied to other wires under my truck. The problem was going through the firewall. I would've had to drill 5/8 or 3/4" hole just to get the RCA plug through. I cut the end off and ran it through a smaller hole I drilled and used a RCA repair end. Unfortunately the wire was again of lesser quality and was difficult to use with the repair end. The video quality suffered because of the repair end I used and the 4 tiny wound wires inside the cable that carried the signal. The good news is I can spend 10 bucks or so and get a much better quality video wire, which i'll do if this one no longer works. The camera has a female RCA video plug connected to it, so you can upgrade the long wiring if you choose.
Overall, it was cheap, it provided a good picture when I tested it on a tube tv and before I hacked the video wire. I'm hoping it will last a long time and can handle below-0 winter temps.
UPDATE 12/7/2015: The RCA wire had busted apart in several areas under the vehicle. Definitely recommend either running it through the cabin or getting a higher quality RCA cable. I bought one off amazon for less than $7. Camera at this point is a little rusty but still functions like it was new
For around $20, shipped, this little camera is great. I installed it months ago, and it is working without any problems.
I mounted this on my motorcycle, YES my motorcycle it works perfectly with a esky monitor. Very small camera that delivers a great picture, clear with good color.
The wide angle is really cool. it's very clear; easy to install. plus, the seller is very supportive when it comes to problems. I recommend this product and the seller HISGADGET.
Great product and easy to work with. The only problem I had was that i did not realize the outer ring is used to secure the camera in place not to adjust the camera it self. You need to adjust the camera with the outer ring loose and then hold the camera in place as you tighten the ring.
