Bought it for my truck to help with hitching up trailers. Mounted it on the top of my canopy right by the 3rd brake light and it works fabulous. Took a little bit of time and because of the location of the camera I had to extend the video wire but a quick trip to radio shack fixed that. The picture is clear and shows perfectly on my in dash nav system.
No issues--worked as advertised; good picture both day and night. My only suggestion would be to include a 2nd vertical mount option (you could bend the included clip, but one designed to be vertically mounted with the camera offset forward might increase mounting flexibility). I ended-up just wire-tying the camera to a spot on the bumper of my Dodge Dakota that just happened to be just wide enough to securely mount the camera--no drilling needed. I connected to the Boyo VTM43TC 4.3 OE style rear view mirror monitor with compass & temperature - works great.
Not as good as a webcam but it works as well as the $300 dealer option.
I mounted these on my RV's side mirrors & wired them as turn-signal activated cameras. The wide angle makes them perfect for the application and the picture is clear. Good stuff.
Great picture, day or night. Tiny.
For the price these work great. Wish they were high def or 16:9 but they work well
Using it as a blind spot camera. Has a better picture than the camera that came with the monitor. The colors are accurate and it works great in low light conditions. My vehicle has a HUGE blind spot on the passenger side and this camera shows everything. An entire 18 wheeler fits in the view now. 170 degrees of view is great! I mounted it inside the vehicle and pointing out the side window and it works great. Very small and the wires tucked easily under the weather stripping on the door. it is very easy to loosen and turn the camera to get the right angle.
got what I was told and on time great picture for my intended use
