My problem is that the wire that goes from the camera to the back up light lead is to short. Remember the wire needs to go from the center of the trunk to the hinge and than to the back up light. (2012 Honda Accord)
Plug and play that easy mounted to supervise salt spreader on plow truck works great.Feels like its going to last awhile did add black caulk were wire goes in for further protection.
Put it on my RV. Clear clean image to my screen. Really helps to back that pig up! ya know.
Easy to install, great backup view and connected perfectly to stereo. Packaged with everything needed for installation. Would highly recommend
i had an after market reverse camera installed before so installing this was really easy, plug and play basically. The first thing I noticed was the amount of area behind my truck it showed compared to my last camera, excellent wide angle view, great for spotting cross traffic and pedestrians. The second thing I noticed was how good the quality was, i also upgraded my dvd receiver to a pioneer 5500, my old camera looked horrible on the new deck, but this one looks great, HD like quality. Although this camera doesn't have any infrared LED's it still showed good at night, but in total darkness its not so good. Would definitely recommend this camera to anyone for the price.
This little camera is pretty amazing. Honestly when I bought it I didn't expect the picture that came up on the screen. I took pictures of it during the day and night but amazon doesn't let you upload pics. Anyways, the picture quality is great during the day. I dont know if its HD or not but if it isn't you surely can't tell. During dusk it still looks amazing like the daytime. Night vision is pretty good. The only downside to this camera is when headlights are pointed at it it makes it starburst like when your glasses are dirty. But most of the reviews I have read, even the more expensive models, seem to have this problem. So I didn't want to downgrade my rating for it. I ran the wires along with my factory backup wires and I had around 2 feet of AV cable to spare. There's only around 2-3 feet of power and ground cable though, so you will need to buy some 18-20 gauge wire to extend those. The green/yellow/red pre-marked lines in the camera is helpful for making sure you mount the piece straight and level. If you want to see the pics i took of the camera quality or have questions about install you can message me at my screenname. Spend the extra cash you saved on this camera and buy a good dvd cd player for your dash!
I mounted this baby on the front of my long Tundra to help in parking situations. It gets a lot of high pressure rain being up there and so far no fogging or water intrusion. It has a very versatile mount and the wide angle almost gets corner to corner as I have it aimed down to judge distance from the bumper. Great product.
This camera was easy to install, and worked with my eclipse avn 6620 in dash. During the day, the picture is mostly clear, at least good enough for a backup camera, at night it is a different story. Because of the red lights from your breaks, there is enough light to see, but you get bad glares, and some horizontal lines throughout the picture, its not bad enough to not be able to see, but it is distracting. The backup grid lines help gauge how far back you can go, and if you are straight or not. Overall I would recommend it for the price.
Great camera for the price.. The guide grid line is very helpful. Day view is awesome, night time is decent.
Bought this to use on my GMC truck with the tailgate off. Glued a magnet to the bracket. Gives very good image, even in low light, with clear markings of distance. Very wide angle.
