There's one in every household. You know, that person that can't ever seem to find their keys... or their purse... or both. There are a lot of key finders out there, and many of them are fancy Bluetooth doo-hickeys that require pairing and installing questionable apps that want permissions to your camera, contacts, local files, and the contents of your underwear drawer for some reason. I just wanted something simple, and this item fit the bill. Push button, keychain beeps. Simple.
The keychains are small enough and don't feel bulky at all. I slipped one into my wife's purse and added one to her keychain. The range seems to be pretty good. I can easily annoy my wife with a beeping car keychain as she's backing out into the street. The sour look on her face is good for at least 20 feet or more. She was loathe to admit it, but she uses it all of the time. It's got a little LED flashlight on it that I'm sure will come in handy at some point. I haven't had it long enough to comment on the battery life, but I've had it for about three months so far.
With the price of replacement smart car keys of over $70, dropping around $20 for this is a pretty good investment. As long as we don't lose the transmitter... Would I buy it again? Yes. In fact, I bought another one as a gift for another family member who has "issues" with key loss.
