A few notes on this. It is very small. Ck the dimensions, maybe 5 inches long. It is not a weather alert radio as in the ones that will wake you up with an alert if a tornado. I think I heard today there is an app for that too. Other than that it seems good. Glad I got it in case of a power outage even if only for the crank flashlight and possibly charge a phone a little
Love it. Charges my android enough to make emergency call good weather radio!
Ya Know... for the price, this is exactly okay. On the day after I received this unit the power went out at my house. I was at work and my Mrs. said the battery on her cell-phone was low. Heck, if I was there, that would not of been a problem. Sometimes real-life hits you and you say -> I wish I had (...something...). This may not be the absolutely best, but, those do cost more. I'm just happy with this. Gotta get one for the house.

This little radio just got us through a tornado warning. The town sirens were sounding and while we were trying to find information on our mobile phones, it occurred to me that I had just gotten this radio, still in the box. I tuned it to NOAA and it gave us all the info we needed. It was charging up using the light in the room. It's easy to crank, although i didn't need to use it during our tornado scare. I was rather surprised at how how easy it was to get weather info on this little guy way before we actually found anything of use through our mobile phones! When we found a couple of internet sites that were useful, they gave us a literal script of what was being said on the radio. We've decided to keep the radio downstairs in our windowless room where we need it in case of another night like last night.

It works great!
It works great!
Handy and compact, an ideal addition to an earthquake or disaster kit. If it included a coffee-maker and hotdog grill it would truly be the love of my life.
