Excellent camera. The only problem I had was that the LED lights were so bright at night that you could not see anything other than the white lights.
So, I ended up first taping over the lights, and then eventually using liquid rubber to completely cover them over.
My reverse lights on my 2008 F-150 FX 4 illuminated the area enough so I did not need any extra lighting. This unit works great at night with existing lights. You do not need the LED lighting. Well let me correct that, I did not need the LED lighting, you might need it, but I did not.
The unit lasted almost 2 years, so right now I'm shopping for a new one. I think I want to get one with infrared lighting to see how that works compared to LED lighting.
But this E-sky unit is an excellent camera.
I'm giving it four stars out of five only because of the LED lighting issue. Your vehicle may be different, and maybe the LEDs will help you, but they did not help me.
Only issue is the night mode isn't super great - still good enough to see trees and cars. For 20 bucks though this was a great addition to my car, definitely recommend!
it is ok
So I originally rated this as 1 star because it got wet and everything was reversed. After my review I received an email from Dreamee with ThousandShores Inc. I explained to her the issue and she sent me new camera which arrived in a few days. I installed the new one and haven't had any issues with it. It works exactly as it should, when I go through the car wash it will be iffy at first but once everything dries it's fine. I wish there was a way to turn off the LED's just because in the rain it makes it difficult to see. For an inexpensive backup camera you can't go wrong with this. Just don't compare it to one you'd pay $200 for.
nice clear picture when your in reverse even at night
Great customer service, camera works well. It's a low price but is good quality.
Great camera, you can get it for $23 from many different Ebay sellers with free shipping.
Better and sharper image than my old one. I'm happy with it.
Excellent build quality, metal frame. Wide range of up/down adjustability, with screw lock. 180° angle is a must. One button controls extremely difficult to use. But I appreciate ability to widen guide lines and flip picture to allow mounting with wire emerging top or bottom.

I am changing this review from 1 star to 4 stars because the seller contacted me immediately and sent me a new unit. Great customer service!
I am withholding one star because of the push button control unit. It requires a very precisely timed sequence of pushing buttons to operate. I consider myself dexterous with good reflexes and was unable to get it to change any of the higher modes such as guideline width, etc. I was lucky to get the unit to display the correct left-right-up-down viewpoint and to get the guidelines to display. This was sufficient for my purposes so I stopped at that point. The higher modes such as guideline width may be theoretically possible but practically almost no one will be able to use them because of the push button control unit. Also inspecting the control unit carefully, I suspect that it is not quite waterproof and may get damaged during an automatic car wash if it is exposed to any water.

I installed this as a front camera on my Toyota Tundra. I suspect that the push button control unit has been malfunctioning from Day One. It would occasionally display an upside down picture, show or hide the gridlines, etc. The problem has slowly become more frequent, and today, I can't get the camera to display a normal picture, no matter what I do. It cycles between a blank screen and a black and white picture that is flipped from left to right.
It is still within the warranty period, hopefully the vendor will see this. If I get an exchange, I will update this review.
