This product is amazing, actually, I have no idea because I have been lucky enough not to have to use it yet, but I feel prepared like a boy scout.

This radio/light combo is just what I was looking for. It is small and easy to store but not so small as to be hard to use.
It picks up signal well and sounds good for a small radio. The flashlight work good to.
I have not tried to charge anything with but assume it would do well at that to.
smaller than expected, but it works really great
The Esky hand crank/solar radio is one of those devices that you didn't know you needed. It's primarily marketed as an emergency radio but is equally at home in your backpack, camper, boat, bug out kit, or home closet. It's actually amazing considering all the tech that is pack into Its small frame. Inside you'll find a 1000 mAh rechargeable battery, a 50 lumen flashlight, and a solar cell. The internal battery can be recharged via a micro-USB port, a hand crank, and the five inch solar cell on top of the radio. I've found that hand cranking is the fastest way to recharge the battery. One or two minutes of cranking will get your roughly 20-30 minutes of radio/light time. The internal power bank is pretty small and won't provide much talk time to your average power-hungry cellphone/tablet. Still, it really wasn't designed for that. The fact that you can even do that with a radio this small is pretty awesome. Finally, the radio is capable of pulling in (via a decent expandable antenna) signals from AM, FM, and NOAA weather radio stations. We had a tornado touch down the day after I received this radio. Being able to monitor local NOAA broadcasts from our basement shelter was both convenient and comforting.
Pros:
- Very small, super light-weight, radio that doubles as a flashlight.
- Can receive AM, FM, and NOAA weather stations.
- Charges via USB, solar, or hand crank.
Cons:
- Small internal power bank.
- Tiny speaker that isn't all that great.
- Charging an external device requires extra cables.
