This is a great product! It is a great emergency flashlight, radio, solar charger, phone charger. This seems to have everything! Instructions said to crank handle for 3-5 minutes to activate internal battery but mine was working upon arrival. Good thing becasue cranking for more than 2 minutes is hard on the arms! But not that bad if it is needed for emergency. I like how it can be charged by usb or by solar. The light is very bright and the radio is clear and easy to tune and adjust volume. Perfect to listen for emergency broadcasts. I carry this one on my kayak when I go deep sea fishing. Great insurance! I will be buying another for my car and house.
What a handy little gadget. It has it all.
A solar cell on top for recharging on sunny days.
A hand crank for recharging manually. Just crank for five minutes and recharge the built in battery.
A USB port for recharging.
A built in flash light that is very bright.
AM/FM and Weather Radio
Telescopic antennae.
A wrist carrying strap.
It comes with adapters so that you can actually CHARGE other devices like a cell phone or other devices that need charging when the local power goes out of service. This is ideal for the Prepper or those who live by the Boys Scouts Of America slogan "Be Prepared".
I cranked it for Three minutes, which gave me a bit of a work out, and it recharged the battery. The manual says Three to Five minutes.
In my personal opinion, this is a much needed Survival tool for camping or building a Bug Out Bag.
Out of the many products ESKY that I have reviewed, only one fell short. That is a good success rate and once again, ESKY and my sponsor HISGADGET, have come through again.
Give them a Try so as they try to Satisfy.

As a Firefighter/EMT who responds on many late night calls, to many disasters, and most people's worst day, I can tell you right now this flashlight/radio/charger combo is not just great for us, it is great for the general public, on our end it is a great flashlight and power bank...
On a citizen end talk about something you NEED to have during an emergency! POWER POWER POWER and weather band radio? This can not be beat. Hands down, would buy again.
It's tiring to crank it but if one needs a longer last-time for the power, it has to be done. The solar cells don't work though.

This is a great economical emergency radio for your kit. The flashlight is really bright and useful! I've tried this against the digital version and this is much better. It doesn't seem all that flimsy.
This is a good little radio.
The radio picks up AM and FM bands as well as the weather band well. It worked with the antenna down but did have better reception with the antenna extended.
The flashlight works well and is a handy addition.
The radio can be charged via solar, the hand crank and via USB. All three methods worked to charge the unit.
The phone charger adaptor works and was providing power on a few different devices I tried. I don't think it would fully charge your phone at only 1000 mAH but would provide enough juice to make several phone calls.
The one downside I have with this is there is no place to store the cables it comes with. If you misplace the cables you can't use the charger.
This little jewel has become my new favorite flashlight, and has been given a home of honor near my desk for quick use if the lights go out. I'm looking forward to taking it along the next time I go camping. I have one of those big and bulky Red Cross emergency radios in my bedroom for those End Of The World emergencies along with an assortment of hand crank flashlights (some with radios) that I have collected over the years. This unit has all of the same functions that the huge Red Cross unit does, but in a compact unit the size of a regular flashlight!
The rechargeable battery is 1000 mah which is large enough to top off my smart phone. The battery itself appears to be replaceable, but the compartment looks a little tight, so it may not be an easy thing to accomplish. The led flashlight is nice and bright, and thankfully has only one switch function, light on, light off. I own too many other flashlights that are three mode lights that require multiple switch pressing to find a suitable mode, so I appreciate the basic simplicity of one mode operation. The radio works great on the am/fm and weather bands using the compact telescoping antenna, which extends to a length of 11 1/2". The TUN indicator will glow green when you are locked on a station, providing visual confirmation. The unit can be charged using the solar cell built into the top, The large hand crank on the side (which, I must say, is very easy to operate!), or the mini usb input. At this time, I would like to stress that this unit comes with a usb - mini usb cable for charging, a special power output cable, and an adapter to female full size usb. You will need to bring along a usb to micro usb cable if you want to charge your phone. The only downside to the compact size is that there is no room for a cable storage compartment. You will need to put all of these cables, and adapters in a little bag and attach it to the unit, because otherwise, you will probably not be able to find them when you need them the most. It would have been a nice touch if a bag had been included. Also the unit is water-resistant but not water-proof. It should do okay in the rain, but will probably not survive a swim in the lake. It feels very solid and well built, and is an easy to find bright yellow, and black.
I was provided with a free sample of this product in return for my unbiased evaluation and review.
This is a genius device and literally could be a life saver! This emergency radio is small and compact, perfect fit for a large hand. It also has a strap to wrap around your wrist while holding it to prevent falls. The features on this radio are endless. First you have three different ways to charge the radio. 1. solar charge (takes the longest but is always available. 2. Hand crank, which is always there as well. 3. USB charging. So this radio has AM/FM/WB. It also has a 1 watt, 50 lumens led flashlight built in. I found the radio is actually pretty good! I had no problem tuning in AM/FM as well as the weather broadcast and I wasn't surprised because there is a really decent antenna built in. There are two lights on the unit. One is a green light and when you have a station tuned in solid it will stay lite green. The second indicator light is the power light. When fully charged the light will go off, if it isn't it stays constant red. Now this is the selling point to me and makes this totally worth it. You can charge your phone/devices off the radio! There are 2 power openings behind a rubber door on the unit. One is to charge the unit it self. The other is to output a charge to a device. Esky provides the cord and attachments to charge your phone! This is huge. I charged my phone for a while and it actually worked well! It does have a built in 1000mah power bank built in and that's where there output charge comes from. So my conclusion to for this item is that it is worth the money hands down, small, convenient and could seriously save you life someday. I put mine in the trunk.
