Hard to put with cat radio but we finally got it to work now it works well
Bought this little cheap and cheesy 4 years ago, Last week I finally got around to installing it after someone ran up behind me and I backed into his car. I m not a pro just a diy kinda guy. Installation took some time since I did the install in two parts. Mounted the camera first and finish hooking it up Radio on day 2. Total time 6 hours. If I had to do it again probably 2 hours. The daytime picture looks great on Factory Radio, actually used it late night and the Image is clear at least in a nice parking lot. I not giving five stars cause, I thought it might have been better to not use RCA connectors too baulky to run though the car. I ended up cutting it to crimp onto the cars wiring. Wiring is very easy didn't need the 30$ connector for my Toyota. 4 wires two to Aux power and two to the radio. Mounting bracket is sturdy hasn't moved from driving vibrations. Looks sturdy and well built for 20$
* I wired its power to the cig light power instead of the backup light, always on better connection to the display. I will update if the camera burns out too soon.
excellent
good product
I have had this on my car for a year now. It is a good camera but it requires some light at night i.e. Not very clear in the dark. I am considering another camera because I want a clearer image in the dark. The one major complaint is that the screws supplied with it have rusted so I need to replace those. An easy job but something they should fix for future buyers.
So far so good. Picture is nice and clear. Guidelines on ground is very nice once adjusted properly. Clear picture and very useful at night using vehicle reverse lights to illuminate the darkness.
Very nice quality for the money cameras.
Use multiple cameras for parking a big truck. Was able to add them to multiple locations and get a really nice image. on a quad monitor system
I actually like the lines for side parking front facing. When done right they can really help you park a big truck in a tight spot. Or go off roading in nasty places with out being able to see the obstacles from the windshield.
Seems great so far
The camera became VERY foggy after few months after warranty. What a coincidence!!
It is disposable, so invest $5 more on something else that will last.
UPDATED: However I must add that their customer service is something to praise about and make special emphasis.
They contacted me and sent me a replacement even after warranty expired.
Only issue is that the polarity was reversed so I had to have the car rewired.
Update
It's ok. I have same brand but different model (that comes with display) in my other car and picture quality is better then this.
Also there is assistance lines which can't be turned off :(
