Update 6-1-16
So quite a while after I posted this review at 2 stars, the seller got in touch with me trying to make me a happy customer. It took a few emails back and forth, but eventually Hisgadget Inc agreed to send me a replacement without having me take apart my current installed camera and wires and return those first (would've been too much of a pain to go through with the return otherwise). I just installed the new camera - and there are 2 major improvements in this second camera. First, and most important - it actually turns on as it should each and every time the car goes into reverse! The wires are unchanged since my initial review - so it looks like the first one I got had something wrong with it. Second - the tiny little button I have to use to set the camera up is no longer almost impossible to press like the first one. This camera has that small button protruding a bit from it's recessed hole in the plastic so I can press it (x times in a row) much more easily than the first camera.
Still, setting up the camera is slightly annoying as I'm not a dexterous as I'd like to be - but it's far from the torture I had to deal with earlier!
So all in all - good customer support AND a camera that works as it should! Picture quality is pretty darned good (and the view is wide, fish eye view) for what these usually show, options are there to adjust to how you want to see it and even to get the guides as close to the width of your car as possible. These guys truly deserve my upgraded review from 2 to 4 stars.

Something wrong with how this camera signals to turn on. I literally have to turn it on TWICE to get a picture. What this translates to is I have to go into reverse... then go into park again...THEN go back into reverse! And only then does the picture come up. The picture is fine, wide but not a full 180°, more like 160° so that's another issue. And yes, ther is a button to control the settings - but this is the most user unfriendly thing I've used in a long time. I love all the flexibility, but to change the width of the grid - you have to press this TINY recessed button 5 times quickly in a row... or if you're too slow and it registers 3 clicks - you change something else. ARRRGH!
I tried to like it... like I said, I love all the flexibility- even adjusting the up\down angle of the camera is a breeze... but having to go into reverse twice every time I want this thing to turn on makes it a complete waste of my time.
